TATA IPL 2025 Player retentions list announced

The 19th season of the Indian Cricket Tournament will commence in March 2025. However, before the full schedule is announced, one should consider the IPL Auction 2025, which will take place in December 2024. The IPL Players List 2025 will be released shortly following the auction. The IPL 2025 Released Players List and IPL 2025 Retained Players List will be announced shortly. Retention Window Closure: The player retention window closed on October 31, 2024.

Total Players Retained: 46 players were retained across all franchises.

Total Investment: INR 558.5 crore spent on retentions.

Salary Cap and Retention Limits:

Each team has a salary cap of INR 120 crore for the mega auction.

Teams could retain up to six players, with a maximum of five capped internationals and up to two uncapped Indian players.

Full Retentions (6 players): Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) and Rajasthan Royals (RR).

Five Retentions: Chennai Super Kings (CSK), Gujarat Titans (GT), Lucknow Super Giants (LSG), Mumbai Indians (MI), Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH).

Fewer Retentions:

Delhi Capitals (DC): 4 players

Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB): 3 players

Punjab Kings (PBKS): 2 players

Largest Auction Purse: Punjab Kings enter the auction with INR 110.5 crore, the largest among all teams.
